US COVID Vaccinations Continue Record-Setting Pace

My Newsmax article on April 7 documented that, between March 29 and April 6, there were 22.8 million COVID vaccine doses injected into American arms, or 2.9 million daily.

Between April 6 and 11, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is reporting 18.4 million doses administered, or 3.7 million per day.

Of the 238 million doses delivered to the 50 states, 187 million, or 79%, have been jabbed.

The overwhelming majority of the 51 million un-injected doses, already delivered to the states, will be injected over the next several weeks.

Of the 331 million Americans, 118 million, or 36%, have received at least one vaccine dose.

Among Americans 65 years of age and older, who account for a grim 81% of COVID deaths, 33.6 million have been fully inoculated (including this writer).

Another 9.4 million seniors have received a first dose, and during the next month, they will get jabbed with the second Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

Therefore, 43 million of the 55 million Americans 65 years of age or older, or a spectacular 78%, have received at least one shot.

Florida, led by the very competent Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, has administered 6.7 million doses to seniors, or 148% of its cohort’s population.

By contrast, New York, led by the serially incompetent Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo, has administered just 4.2 million doses to its seniors, or 128% of its cohort’s population.

Florida received 15.9 million vaccine doses from the federal government, while New York obtained 14.5 million.

Last year, Florida’s population was 21.7 million, up from 18.8 million in 2010, or 15%.

In 2020, New York’s population was stagnated at 19.3 million, compared to 19.4 million a decade earlier.

By the third week of May 2021, if the current inoculation rate continues, 331 million doses will have been jabbed into American arms, or one shot for every American.

Another of my Newsmax articles, on March 29, highlighted former President Donald Trump’s pivotal role in America’s unrivaled vaccine success, and it predicted that by April 15, there would be 200 million doses jabbed into Americans.

With four days and 13 million doses remaining to be injected, this prediction can be considered as “accurate.”

My article two weeks ago also praised Israel and the United Kingdom for their vaccination successes, and it sharply criticized the European Union, France, Mexico and Canada for their inexcusable failures.

Israel, with a population of 9.3 million, has injected two doses into 4.9 million of its citizens, and 5.3 million, or 57%, have received at least one dose.

Eran Segal, who is a leading Israeli computational biologist at the Weizmann Institute of Science, and who has a doctorate from Stanford, just stated that the Jewish State “has reached a sort of herd immunity.”

Other great international news is a group of these democratic laggards have robustly accelerated their vaccination programs between March 29 and April 10.

The 27-nation EU increased doses jabbed from 67 million to 94 million, or 40%.

France went from 10 million to 14 million injected doses, also a 40% increase; and Germany jumped 50%, from 12 million to 18 million.

Mexico improved from 7 million to 11 million jabs, or 57%; and Canada from 5 million to 8 million, or 60%.

Our northern and southern neighbors have recently received from the Biden administration millions of doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

On the same day two weeks ago, that my “President Trump Put Americans First: Unrivaled COVID Vaccine Success” was published in Newsmax, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, President Biden’s hapless CDC director, warned of the “impending doom” of rising COVID cases.

In fact, the CDC’s “COVID Data Tracker” reports that the seven-day moving average of deaths, on March 29, was 848 per day.

On April 10, this crucial metric had declined to an average of 683 fatalities daily.

The CDC’s fatality statistics between Nov.1, 2020, when the daily death toll was 872, and the peak on Jan. 13, 2021, when there were 3,456 average daily deaths during the previous week, are grossly inflated.

Nevertheless, America’s historically unprecedented vaccination program over the last year — funding, purchasing, inventing, manufacturing, testing, distributing and injecting — has almost defeated the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in this country.
