The House will vote on the GOP's Obamacare replacement plan next week, possibly Thursday night, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said.
A reporter for the Los Angeles Times tweeted around noon Friday that McCarthy said the vote will happen Thursday.
The Washington Examiner quoted McCarthy as telling members of the chamber to prepare for votes next Thursday night.
"Late votes are likely in the House on Thursday and members are advised to adjust their schedules accordingly," McCarthy said.
It's not clear if House Republicans have enough votes to pass the American Health Care Act (AHCA), however. Some in the party, including those in the House Freedom Caucus, are not sure they want to support the bill when it comes up for a vote on the floor.
House Speaker Paul Ryan said this week the AHCA is undergoing improvements as Republicans prepare to present it to the chamber's 435 members.
Several Republican senators also oppose the House GOP's bill.
