Scaramucci: Dems Don't Have Anyone to Match Trump

Democrats do not have anyone who can compete with President Donald Trump in the 2020 election, former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci said Wednesday, dismissing claims from ex-Vice President Joe Biden he is the man for the job.

"I like Vice President Biden," Scaramucci told Fox News' "Fox and Friends," but added Biden "would have a tough time debating somebody like President Trump. Every time he goes into contact with the enemy, he fumbles the ball."

Scaramucci, the author of "Trump, the Blue-Collar President," went on to criticize Democrats, claiming the problem is they "think they're too smart."

"They disengage from a large group of people," he said. "They call people deplorable, racists. The American people want a good job, have aspirations for their children."

He also dismissed Rep. Beto O'Rourke, D-Texas, saying he will "come into this game, but again, he probably doesn't understand the fastballs coming at him."

And even though Democrats took back the House, "most times presidents lose the House" during midterm elections, Scaramucci said.

"If you look at President [Barack] Obama in 2010, he lost 63 seats," Scaramucci said. "President Trump lost 38, 39 seats, something like that. It wasn't really that stupendous."
