Hillary Clinton is a shakedown artist whose claim that she's pulling for "everyday Americans" has no credibility, actor and economist Ben Stein says.
"The idea that Hillary is saying we've got to have an America for everyday people. What was her fee per speech last year, $250,000?" Stein said Tuesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"Three hundred thousand for 45 minutes work? And she's talking about identifying with ordinary people? Give me one small break, please."
In her first campaign swing since announcing her candidacy for president on Sunday, Clinton is on a road trip from New York to Iowa during which she plans to hear the concerns of "everyday Americans."
But Stein — a former speechwriter for Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford, and author of Newsmax Magazine's "Dreemz" column — doesn't believe she's sincere for a moment.
"I mean this is a woman who has been shaking down America's biggest corporations, shaking down our Arab friends in the Middle East for money for her foundation [The Clinton Foundation]," Stein said.
"[She's] shaking down everybody she knows for money for her campaign, and she's talking about everyday people? Give me a break."
Stein then quoted from "Everyday People," the 1968 hit record by Sly and the Family Stone.
"'I love everyday people' — but that ain't Hillary!" Stein said.
