Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the most admired foreign male leader among Americans, according to the results of a new survey.
A Gallup poll found that 1 percent of Americans said Netanyahu is their most admired man or woman, the only foreign head of state in the top 10.
Pope Francis is on the list after he garnered 3 percent of the tally. The Dalai Lama earned 1 percent.
Former President Barack Obama is the most admired man with 17 percent, followed by President Donald Trump at 14 percent.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the most admired female at 9 percent, followed by former first lady Michelle Obama (7 percent). German Chancellor Angela Merkel is the top foreign leader on that list with 2 percent.
A high-profile conservative, Netanyahu supports many of Trump's policies and decisions — including his recent declaration that Jerusalem is Israel's capital.
