President Joe Biden's reelection campaign announced the launch of a $25 million advertising campaign in battleground states, The Hill reported.

Television ads will air in major markets in Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, battleground states that Biden won in 2020, with the exception of North Carolina, which he lost by less than 100,000 votes.

In addition, the campaign is running targeted ads focused on Hispanic voters in Florida, a state where Biden lost by a large margin.

This marks the third major ad buy since Biden officially announced he will seek a second term, according to The Hill.

"The buy includes both the largest and earliest media buy for a reelection campaign into constituency media ever, as well as the largest overall buy for a reelection campaign at this point in time ever, ensuring that President Biden's message is heard throughout this year's Republican primary," the campaign said in a statement.

The first ad of the campaign centers on the economy and attempts to contrast Biden's record during his administration with that of former President Donald Trump.

The ad buy is part of the Biden campaign's effort to get more aggressive as the first Republican primary debate takes place Wednesday.

In addition, the Democratic National Committee is launching a billboard campaign in Milwaukee, site of the Republican debate, including three standing billboards and a billboard truck that will circle the debate venue.
