Wisconsin Poll: Sanders Tops Biden as WH Pick Among Dems

Sen, Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., has topped Joe Biden as a top choice among Democrat White House contenders in Wisconsin, a new poll showed.

The Marquette University Law School survey released Wednesday showed that among 12 current or potential Democratic presidential candidates, Sanders is a top choice of 32% of voters who don’t lean Republican, the former vice president is a top choice of 29%. 

Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts is a top choice of 17% of voters in that group.

In January, Sanders was a top choice of 23%, and Biden was pick of 32%; Warren had 15% support of those voters at that time.

The breakdown of “top choices” in Wisconsin of Democrats in the race looks like this:

  • Sen. Kamala Harris of California: 11%
  • Beto O’Rourke: 10%
  • Sen. Corey Booker of New Jersey: 9%
  • Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota: 8%
  • South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg: 7%
  • Julian Castro: 4%
  • Washington Gov. Jay Inslee; 2%
  • Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand: 2%
  • John Hickenlooper: 1%

The poll’s margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points.
