President Donald Trump was not making the United States morally equivalent to Russia when he told Fox News' Bill O'Reilly the United States has killed people, too, David Horowitz, author of the bestselling book "Big Agenda: President Trump's Plan to Save America," said Monday.
"Trump is really a transparent figure," Horowitz said on Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight." "He is a passionate patriot."
President Barack Obama killed former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, Horowitz said, even though he was no threat to the United States, and there was no authorization from Congress or the U.N. Security Council to launch the NATO airstrikes that led to his capture.

Hillary Clinton, who was secretary of state at the time "boasted with a smile her face, 'We came, and we saw, and he died.'" Horowitz said. "That is murder," he added, noting "The world is full of such leaders" as Gaddafi who are not killed.
"And John Kennedy murdered the president of South Vietnam, our ally," he added. "It happens."
The "amazing thing" about Trump, though, is "he doesn't back down," Horowitz said, and that is transforming the Republican Party.
Unlike the GOP of the past, Trump sticks by his guns, he said, even though he has not gotten the traditional "honeymoon" period of a new president.
"According to Gallup, the average honeymoon for an incoming president is seven months," Horowitz said. "Trump didn't get seven seconds. It is a constant war against him."
The majority GOP Congress for the past six years "did nothing," he said, including their pledge to undo Obamacare.
"They were scared of being called obstructionist and racist," he said.
Trump, on the other hand, looked straight into the camera during one of the debates with Clinton and said, "Hillary has tremendous hatred in her heart, and the Democratic Party has hatred in their hearts for Republicans."
He was proved right, Horowitz said, when Democrats called for Trump's impeachment before he had been in office two weeks.
"Trump is unintimidated, and people don't realize how important that is in advancing any agenda," he said. "You end up appeasing the left."
