AM 970 The Answer
Bill Richardson, former U.N. ambassador and energy secretary under President Bill Clinton, believes the only two Republicans who can give Democrat Hillary Clinton a real challenge are Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

Richardson, recently endorsed Clinton for the Democratic nomination and said Sunday on "The Cats Roundtable" on AM 970 in New York  he believes she will be the party nominee.

"I think [Vermont Sen.] Bernie Sanders maybe wins one of the two primaries, Iowa and New Hampshire. But then the rest, there's 48 others," Richardson told host John Catsimatidis.

"I think that's where Hillary's strength with minorities, with women, with activists will come out," he said.

Bush and Kasich have not been polling well recently, though Bush was the early front-runner before businessman Donald Trump got into the race.

"If the Republicans nominate John Kasich or Bush, then it’s a race," Richardson said. "If they nominate anybody else … even … Donald Trump, they’re going to go down."
