How do Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump remain friends while their parents slug it out for the presidency?
The answer is that for the time being they don't.
Politico reports that the once chummy pair have put their friendship "on ice" as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the presumed Democratic and Republican presidential nominees, ramp up their attacks on each other.
"If their friendship is a casualty of the election, it's a price that both would likely be willing to pay to see their parents in the White House," Politico's Annie Karni writes.
Chelsea and Ivanka became fast friends when they met through their husbands a few years back.
But as the 2016 presidential race reaches a fever pitch, both "have chosen to no longer be seen together in public during the election," according to Karni.
Not surprising with Trump digging up Bill Clinton's sex scandals from the 1990s and Clinton calling out Trump for alleged "bigotry" and "bullying."
