There continues to be confusion as to what was discussed during a White House dinner Wednesday night, with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer insisting Thursday that a border wall was not included in a framework agreement that was struck.

"We all agreed on a framework. Pass DACA protections and additional border security measures, excluding the wall," Schumer said, according to The Hill.

He noted that lawmakers and President Donald Trump still "have to put meat on the bones of the agreement. Details will matter."

Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi met with Trump at the White House and discussed, among other topics, immigration. On the heels of Trump's decision to end the temporary Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, there is now an urgency to put together and pass legislation before March in order to protect the 800,000 recipients of the program.

Schumer and Pelosi said Wednesday night they came to an agreement with Trump that would protect DACA recipients, an agreement they said does not include building a border wall. The White House, however, said that the border wall was not excluded from the agreement.

The back-and-forth continued Thursday, with Trump saying no deal was struck and a border wall separating the United States and Mexico will be built.

DACA allows people who illegally came to the U.S. as children with their parents to stay under certain circumstances. Former President Barack Obama signed an executive order in 2012 as a temporary fix.
