CNN has hired Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump's former campaign manager, as a political commentator, according to
Politico.
Lewandowski will have a salaried position and will be exclusive to CNN, the report said. The
Trump campaign fired Lewandowski Monday.
CNN pays commentators who are pro-Trump, according to the report. Lewandowski joins former Reagan White House political director Jeffrey Lord, and lawyer Kayleigh McEnany.
BuzzFeed reported in March that Lewandowski was under scrutiny for allegations of pushing and suggestive comments, after reporter Michelle Fields filed assault charges against Lewandowski.
Although Trump targets CNN with insults, he has worked with CNN president Jeff Zucker when Zucker was president of NBC television.
Lewandowski said he still supports Trump. "He's going to be the next president," he said during a
Fox News interview.
