Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-Texas, has risen to third in the latest CNN poll of prospective Democratic 2020 nominees, just behind Vermont independent Sen. Bernie Sanders.

The poll, conducted by SSRS, found that former Vice President Joe Biden leads a crowded field of potential nominees, as selected by Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents, with 33 percent. Sanders comes in second with 13 percent with O’Rourke right behind, having jumped to 9 percent from 4 percent in October.

Sens. Cory Booker of New Jersey and Kamala Harris of California came in forth and fifth with five percent and four percent, respectively. Harris and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren both dropped five points since the last poll, with Warren falling from eight percent in October to just three percent in December. No other candidate managed more than 5 percent.

The only Democrat to have officially declared their campaign included in the poll, Maryland Rep. John Delaney, failed to muster 1 percent.

The poll also found that a majority, 51 percent, think President Donald Trump will not win re-election in 2020, while 43 percent said he would.

SSRS polled 1,015 adults, with 463 identifying as Democrats or as independents who lean Democratic, by phone from Dec. 6-9, with a margin of error of 3.8 percentage points, 5.6 for results from just Democrats or Democratic-leaning independents.
