Embattled campaign manager Corey Lewandowski has reportedly been demoted in the
shakeup of GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump's campaign team.
Paul Manafort, initially hired to be Trump's convention manager, is now at the campaign helm, with Lewandowski's role reduced to a body man and scheduler,
CBS News reports.
The number of staffers reporting directly to Lewandowski has also been reduced, the
Washington Examiner reports.
Lewandowski came under fire after being charged in March with battery against reporter
Michelle Fields after a press conference — a charge that has now been
dropped against him.
Fields, who used to work for Breitbart News, has said she hasn't ruled out a
defamation lawsuit in the matter.
