For the past year, anyone who suggested the COVID-19 virus wreaking havoc on humanity originated anywhere except in a bat – or perhaps an “intermediate host” like a pangolin – was ridiculed, shouted down, and completely dismissed by the Internet’s army of so-called “fact-checkers.”
