President Donald Trump's net approval rating hit a record high of +14, with 54% of respondents approving of his job performance, while 40% disapprove, according to a Rasmussen Reports survey released Wednesday.

Trump's previous net approval high was +10 in 2017 (55% approval, 45% disapproval).

The Rasmussen survey, based on a two-day average of approximately 829 likely voters, also found that 39% strongly approve of the job Trump is doing and 33% strongly disapprove.

Additionally, 72% of Hispanic voters and 49% of Black voters approve of the job Trump is doing.

Trump's return to the White House on Monday was a historic political comeback.

After being sworn in as the 47th president, Trump described a country in disarray.

"As we gather today, our government confronts a crisis of trust. For many years, a radical and corrupt establishment has extracted power and wealth from our citizens while the pillars of our society lay broken and seemingly in complete disrepair," he said.

The decline, he said "is over."

"Our liberties and our nation's glorious destiny will no longer be denied. And we will immediately restore the integrity, competency, and loyalty of America's government."
