Trump: Obamacare 'Catastrophic' for Democrats in 2014

Obamacare is such a disaster that it will be "catastrophic" for Democrats running in the midterm elections in 2014, real estate mogul Donald Trump said Monday.

"I think this could be catastrophic for the Democrats. A lot of Democrats are running away from Obamacare. They're running as fast as they can run," Trump said.

"The Republicans are going to have a lot of victories in 2014, and the Democrats know it," he said on "Fox & Friends."

Trump called Obamacare a "total disaster," and said the problems with insurers' getting incorrect information about people enrolling in Obamacare will continue to be an issue.

"People think they signed up where they were successful on the website, and they go to the insurance company, and the insurance company says, 'We have no record of you signing up,'" he said.

The government should be looking to recoup the cost of building the Obamacare website, Trump argued. Estimates for constructing the site, plagued with computer issues since its Oct. 1 launch, are as high as $1 billion.

"Why aren't we suing the company who screwed up the website?" he asked. "Why isn't this country doing something about getting the billion dollars back?"
