President Donald Trump’s much-anticipated written response to questions about Russian interference in the 2016 election reportedly could come this week.

Reuters, citing an unnamed source, first reported Tuesday that questions from special counsel Robert Mueller to Trump relates only to Moscow's involvement in the presidential election — and not to whether Trump may have tried to obstruct the Russia probe.

Among topics included in Mueller’s line of questions is a June 2016 meeting between Donald Trump Jr., other members of Trump's campaign team and a group of Russians, Reuters reported.

NBC News, which also reported that Trump’s answers could be submitted this week, reported the president met with his legal team on Monday and was expected to do so again Tuesday afternoon.

Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. A spokesman for the special counsel also wouldn’t comment.

The New York Times reported in April on a series of questions Mueller wanted to ask Trump — queries supposedly based on notes taken by Trump’s legal team.
