Economist/YouGov Poll: Biden Still Leads 2020 Democrats

Former Vice President Joe Biden leads his closest Democratic presidential rival, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, by 5 points, according to an Economist/YouGov poll.

Here are the results of the survey released Wednesday:

  • 22% support Biden
  • 17% back Warren of Massachusetts
  • 14% favor Sen. Kamala Harris of California
  • 11% support Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.
  • 5% back South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg

No other candidate polled more than 2%.

The poll, conducted July 7-9, surveyed 1,500 adults. The margin of error is 2.6 percentage points.
