Eric Trump says Democrats are subpoenaing "everybody under the sun" because they "don't have a platform."

'They are so desperate," the president's son told Fox News' "Fox and Friends."

"The country has never done better. The economy is the best it has ever been, all right? The Democrats don't have a platform. Their Russia hoax has fallen on its face. They investigated, spent how much taxpayer money on Russia, they got what? Absolutely nowhere."

Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee this week sent letters requesting documents to 81 agencies, organizations, and people with close ties to Donald Trump as part of a broad probe into the president. Eric Trump, one of the recipients, said he believes Special Counsel Robert Mueller's eventual report will say the same thing, that there is no evidence of collusion, and Democrats are "trying to sidestep that."

Trump said he was asked for "all the transcripts you had with Vladimir Putin," but he insisted he's never spoken with the Russian leader and called the idea "ridiculous."

He also dismissed a potential challenge from ex-Vice President Joe Biden for the presidency, saying that he'll have trouble if he runs on the policies of the Obama administration.

"If you want to run Biden against my father, I think it will be an easy victory," said Trump. "All you need to do is line up stats, not sound bites, but quantifiable stats. He beats him all day long."
