A full 25 percent of federal employees say they would consider quitting if Donald Trump is elected president, according to
a survey by the Government Business Council.
While 67 percent of federal employees surveyed said they would not quit their jobs if Trump is elected, 14 percent said they would definitely consider quitting, and 11 percent said they would think about it,
Politico reported.
More Democrats said they would leave if Trump wins the White House: 42 percent.
Here's how many federal employees said they would be embarrassed by certain presidencies:
- Donald Trump: 59 percent
- Hillary Clinton: 49 percent
- Ted Cruz: 45 percent
- Bernie Sanders: 37 percent
- Marco Rubio: 20 percent
Fifty-six percent of those identifying as Democrats said they would support a third term of Barack Obama over any candidates currently running.
The same poll found that most federal employees who identify as Republican would vote for Trump.
The poll was conducted January 20-26 and talked to 688 federal employees. The margin of error is plus-or-minus 4 percent.
