Poll: Americans Say TV News Networks – Except Fox – Are Liberal

Major news networks – except for Fox News – are seen as more liberal than conservative by Americans, a poll by Morning Consult and The Hollywood Reporter reveals.

Fifty-one percent say they view Fox News as more conservative, while 14% see it as more liberal.

Here is how the poll breaks down:

  • 14% say ABC is more conservative, while 34% say it is more liberal.
  • 13% say CBS is more conservative, compared to 35% who say it is more liberal.
  • 12% say CNN is more conservatives, while 46% say it is more liberal.
  • 12% say NBC is more conservative, compared to 36% who say it is more liberal
  • 10% say MSNBC is more conservative, while 43% say it is more liberal.
  • 69% say radio is the most trusted news source; 63% say newspapers; 59% say network news and 56% say cable news.
  • 63% found ABC and CBS the most credible news sources.

The poll, conducted March 28-April 2, surveyed 2,201 people. The margin of error is plus or minus 2 percentage points.
