Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum fired back at Gov. Rick Scott and said the counting of votes in Florida is not a partisan process.
Gillum is still locked in a tight race with Republican Ron DeSantis for governor, while Scott is still battling Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., in the too close to call Senate race. Both contests appear headed for a recount.
Scott has filed a lawsuit against Broward County, Fla. Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes for her vote counting process.
And he said: “It is clear we have some left-wing activists, we have some Democratic, D.C. lawyers coming down here for one purpose: to steal this election.
But Gillum, in a Thursday night tweet to Scott, said: “Mr. @FLGovScott — counting votes isn't partisan — it's democracy. Count every vote.”
