GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump is learning quickly to adjust on the campaign trail, says former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
"I think he's modulating. He's learning," Gingrich said Sunday on
"Face the Nation" in reference to Trump meeting with the head of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
"The one thing I've always found to be true with Trump is, I think he learns faster than any other political figure I've known except Bill Clinton," Gingrich said.
The Trump you see today won't be the same Trump you see a month from now, Gingrich said.
He said Trump, Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina can be seen as a "team" because their supporters see the trio of non-politicians as a way to make a statement that "we're sick of all you regular guys."
"I think this there is a desire on the part of the American people, which I largely agree with, to profoundly change the current terms of American politics and government," Gingrich said. "They want somebody in different formats: They want calm, stable, Dr. Carson, they want energetic CEO Carly Fiorina, they want aggressive, hard-charging Ted Cruz, or they want bombastic, loud" Trump.
