The authors of more than a dozen jobs bills passed in the House joined forces for this week's GOP address to call on President Barack Obama and Senate Democrats to take action and also focus on the nation's economy.
"These are only some of the many bills we've passed to provide new hope to families, workers, and students across the country," House Education and the Workforce Committee Chairman John Kline, R-Minn., says at the end of the statements.
"More are in the works," said Kline. "Because our focus, day in and day out, is on building a stronger economy and a better America. It’s time for President Obama and Senate Democrats to step up and make that their priority too."

The Republican-controlled House has become more frustrated in recent weeks than ever, as it has passed numerous bills only to see them die without a vote in the Democrat-controlled Senate.
House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., is among the many representatives who have complained about the Senate's constant refusal to act on the "stacks of bills" House members have passed.
The House legislation has included "jobs bills trying to affect a better healthcare future, bills trying to affect lower energy costs for working middle-class families in our country,"
he said recently.
On Saturday, 14 representatives stepped forward to describe the bills they sponsored, and all pointing out that "Americans are still waiting for President Obama and Senate Democrats to act," at the end of each description. They were:
House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, R-Mich: "14 months ago, the House passed H.R. 890, my bill to protect reforms that have helped thousands of welfare recipients find jobs and lift their families out of poverty."
Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-N.C.: "14 months ago, the House passed H.R. 803, my bill to help more American workers gain the skills and education necessary to compete for in-demand jobs."
