A hacker group associated with Anonymous has taken down a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) recruiting site and replaced it with an ad for Viagra, Britain's
Independent reports.
The group, Ghost Security Group, hacked into the site on the dark web and replaced it with a message reading: "Too Much ISIS."
"Enhance your calm," the message read "Too many people are into this ISIS-stuff. Please gaze upon this lovely ad so we can upgrade our infrastructure to give you ISIS content you all so desperately crave."
The ad links to a website selling the antidepressant Prozac and the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra and accepts payments in bitcoin. Ghost Sec
earlier this week said it believes ISIS has a portion of its vast wealth stored in the online currency.
In an effort to avoid such shutdowns, ISIS-related sites have been moving to the dark web, which are Internet sites which are not accessible without the proper tools.
Anonymous has vowed to fight ISIS online.
