FBI Director James Comey criticized Hillary Clinton's choice of words regarding the probe into her emails, saying the FBI is conducting an "investigation," not a "security inquiry," as Clinton had dubbed it.
Comey said, "It's in our name," referring to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Fox News article on the briefing Comey held with reporters noted that Comey clarified the FBI's actions in the probe.
"We're conducting an investigation. That's what we do," Comey said.
Comey told the reporters he's not concerned over how quick the investigation is finished, saying the probe "is not tethered to any external deadline," such as the Democratic National Convention.
"We want to do it well and do it promptly," Comey told reporters, adding, "Between the two things, we will always choose 'well.'"
The Hill noted that some critics want details of the probe revealed, even if the FBI does not end up pressing charges against Clinton.
Comey did not reveal whether he would report any details of the probe. "There is no special set of rules for anyone the FBI investigates," Comey explained, according to Fox News.
The Hill reported that the Judicial Watch watchdog group has put Freedom of Information Act lawsuits under way, related to the email probe.
"It doesn't really matter what the FBI does, what the Justice Department does, in the sense that we have a right to get some accountability and to have the FOIA law vindicated," Judicial Watch president Tom Filton told The Hill.
