President Donald Trump thinks the prospect of getting impeached by the Democrat-controlled House is a "real possibility," according to a new report.
CNN reported Monday evening that Trump is growing more and more worried he could be impeached after the new Congress takes office next month. A source close to the president told the network Trump is not convinced he will be impeached, but he sees it as something that could happen.
Another source told CNN that West Wing aides think "the only issue that may stick" in the process of impeaching Trump would be alleged violations of campaign finance law by former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen stemming from hush payments he made to women who claimed they had affairs with Trump.
After prosecutors released information about Cohen's case last week, the discussion around Trump being impeached has grown louder as Democrats await their turn to serve as the House majority.
