The intelligence community is in agreement with the Pentagon that North Korea has the ability to miniaturize nukes and affix them to a missile, NBC News reports.

The CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence are in accord with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) about North Korea's capabilities now.

Earlier in the week, The Washington Post reported that the DIA, which specializes in analysis of military capabilities of other countries, determined that North Korea could put a nuke on an ICBM.

While experts aren't surprised North Korea got there, they are surprised by how quickly the rogue nation was able to achieve arming missiles with nukes, NBC reported.
