James Comey Coaching Basketball

James Comey is in charge once again, but his new position is a far cry from leading the Federal Bureau of Investigation – the veteran lawman is now coaching a girls’ basketball team.

The Daily Caller posted a photos and a video on Wednesday showing Comey amid a circle of teen-age girls at a public high school in Virginia where a game was in progress.

Comey, dressed in khakis and a black long-sleeved shirt and sneakers, is also seen sitting in the bleachers, yelling instructions at his players as they maneuver the court against an opposing team.

"[He] has never been more of a dad than he was sitting stoically on the bleachers in khakis and a henley t-shirt, occasionally yelling out, ‘good job, girls!'" said Daily Caller media reporter Amber Athey, who witnessed the practice.

The former G-Man’s team team "won handily … by double digits," she added.

Comey, who was famously fired from his position as FBI director by President Donald Trump, is no stranger to basketball. He stands a towering 6-foot-8 and once played hoops in high school and at the College of William and Mary, where he is said to have been a red-hot dunker.

Aside from his coaching duties, Comey, 57, is writing a memoir, "A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership," which will be published in April by Flatiron.

The publisher says Comey will share "his never-before-told experiences from some of the highest-stakes situations of his career in the past two decades of American government, exploring what good, ethical leadership looks like, and how it drives sound decisions."
