McCain: Rodman is 'Dangerous Idiot' Aiding 'Brutal, Crazy Man'

Dennis Rodman's ongoing visits to North Korea to see Kim Jong-Un prove he is a "dangerous idiot" who is promoting a murderous, "two-bit dictator," Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona says.

"I think he's an idiot, but he's a dangerous idiot, because he gives good propaganda to . . .  arguably, the most brutal, crazy man on earth," McCain told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

Rodman is organizing a basketball game with other basketball greats to help celebrate Kim's 31st birthday on Wednesday.

"Rodman has always been a whacko, as you know, but the fact that he and his friends are giving good propaganda for this brutal dictator who had his uncle killed, had his ex-girlfriend shot, and supervises the biggest gulag on earth . . . it helps this two-bit dictator," McCain said Tuesday.

"What he's doing is helping this guy and giving him an increased prestige, and that's what's wrong," he said.

On Tuesday, the former National Basketball Association star, who describes Kim as his "friend for life," exploded at CNN's Chris Cuomo when asked whether he should be organizing a basketball game only weeks after the execution of Kim's uncle.

"I don't give a rat's ass what the hell you think!" he seethed. He called the scheduled game a "great idea for the world."

McCain continued:

"I don't think we'd have seen Dennis Rodman on 'Jeopardy.' And that part of it, he's free to do whatever he wants to do.

"But the other part of it is very serious, because it props up and helps this incredibly brutal young man. Who, by the way, has nuclear weapons and missiles."
