KFC's Colonel Sanders has a new face yet again. This time it's Ray Liotta, the actor who is widely known for playing Henry Hill in "Goodfellas" in 1990.
Liotta, who's currently starring in the NBC TV series "Shades of Blue," follows actor Rob Lowe as the pitchman for two new items on KFC's menu, according to The Daily Meal.
Lowe was selected as a pitchman for KFC in April to promote the Zinger Sandwich.
As the new Colonel, Liotta will promote KFC's "two authentic Southern flavors," which includes the "sweet and tangy" honey mustard barbecue chicken and the "spicy and smoky" hot chicken, The Daily Meal noted.
Liotta, 62, will portray dual personalities, according to E News.
"Howdy folks, I'm here to tell you about KFC's honey mustard BBQ Georgia gold," Colonel 1 says in the new KFC commercial.
"No. Tell them about Nashville Hot," Colonel 2 replies.
The real Colonel Sanders, who came on the scene in 1930 when he opened a KFC in North Corbin, Kentucky, has been portrayed by several well-known actors in different commercials since 2015, The Daily Meal noted.
Some of the other celebrities who have portrayed the real Colonel in the past have been Jim Gaffigan, Billy Zane, Rob Riggle, and WWE SmackDown star Dolph Ziggler.
