IRS officials who tagged conservative political organizations should be sent to prison, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal says.
"You cannot take the freedom of law-abiding Americans, whether you disagree with them or not, and keep your own freedom" the Republican governor plans to tell Virginia Republicans at their convention later Saturday. “When you do that, you go to jail.”

Jindal isn't the only Republican calling for jail time for IRS officials involved in the scandal,
reports Politico. Since last week's disclosure, Republicans have lined up to express their fury, including House Speaker John Boehner, who commented, "My question is who's going to jail over this scandal."
But for Jindal and other Republicans eying a potential presidential run in 2016, the demands for justice are climbing. Jindal plans to tell the approximately 10,000 Republicans at the Virginia convention that he's willing to attack Democrats while imploring the GOP to stop being "the stupid party."
The Louisiana governor is joining other Republicans in a call for a special prosecutor to handle the IRS probe, and says that investigation should begin at the top.
"It won’t do to have a few lower-level staffers in the Tucson field office lose their executive washroom privileges," he plans to say. “This is much bigger than that.”
In his speech, Jindal plans not to only address the IRS scandal, but the Benghazi terror attacks, the seizure of the Associated Press' phone records, and the implementation of Obamacare.
“When you grow government this big, these kinds of scandals are inevitable, and he bears the responsibility for that,” Jindal plans to say of President Barack Obama.

The IRS scandal particularly is a hit on democracy, said Jindal, who chairs the Republican Governor's Association.
"The President of the United States must have the moral authority to go around the globe and call out tyranny when he sees it," he’s slated to argue at the convention. "He must be able to be freedom’s evangelist. He cannot do that if he tolerates basic constitutional violations right under his own nose."
