A midshipman has died at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
The Naval Academy made the announcement of his death on Friday morning.
It tweeted: “The Naval Academy is deeply saddened to confirm that a midshipman died last night after being found unresponsive in Bancroft Hall. The cause of death is being investigated; foul play is not suspected.”
In another tweet, it added: “The Brigade of Midshipman, faculty, staff, and coaches were notified of the midshipman’s death this morning. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, the identity of the midshipman is being withheld for 24 hours after next of kin notification.”
WJZ-TV in Baltimore noted the death is the second this month of a midshipman at the academy.
Midshipman 3rd Class Duke Carrillo died during a physical readiness test on Feb. 8.
