"Morning Joe" co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski will delay their vacation to respond to President Donald Trump's tweets slamming them on their Friday show on MSNBC.

"Joe and Mika were supposed to start their July 4th weekend early by taking Friday off," the New York Post reported Thursday, citing an MSNBC source.

"But following Trump's tweet, they postponed their trip by a day so they can be back on air Friday morning to sling some 'bad blood' back at Trump," the source said.

In his tweets, Trump mocked Brzezinski's appearance and mental stability and called Scarborough "Psycho Joe."

White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders defended the posts, saying the president "fights fire with fire."
