Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown wore a jersey demonstrating support for former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick on Super Bowl Sunday.
Brown had the "#ImWithKap" jersey on as he arrived at his NBA game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Kaepernick tweeted a picture of Brown wearing the jersey and wrote: "My Brother @FCHWPO has always known what’s up!"
Kaepernick, who in 2016 became the first NFL player to kneel during the national anthem to protest racial injustice and police brutality, announced in September that all proceeds for sales of the "ImWithKap" jerseys would go to the Know Your Rights Camp, a free campaign for youth that he funds.
Many other athletes, celebrities and activists – including NBA superstars LeBron James and Kevin Durant - also showed support for Kaepernick over Super Bowl weekend, according to The Hill.
Some activists even said they would boycott the Super Bowl to show solidarity with Kaepernick, who became a free agent after the end of thee 2016-17 season and has not been signed by an NFL team since.
