Newsweek Printed 'Hillary Wins' Cover First

The presidential election is far from over, but it looks like Newsweek has already decided who the winner is.

Topix, which Newsweek licenses to print its magazines, has been printing early covers that declare Hillary Clinton has been elected "MADAM PRESIDENT."

The printing company also has a "PRESIDENT TRUMP" cover ready to go, but it took a leap of faith in working on the Clinton cover first, based on polling predictions.

CNN media reporter Brian Stelter said Topix made a "business decision to only print the Clinton version ahead of time given that she is almost universally favored" to win.

"Those sorts of decisions are made all the time in the publishing industry," Stelter said.

"But the reactions to the leaked Clinton cover illustrate how some Trump supporters have been primed to believe that the election is being 'stolen,'" as Trump himself has suggested.
