Newt Gingrich: Parscale Building 'Machine' to Re-elect Trump

President Donald Trump's campaign manager Brad Parscale has good reason to believe his candidate will be re-elected, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Wednesday.

"He is that confident because he is building a machine, working very, very closely with (Republican National Committee Chairwoman) Ronna McDaniel," Gingrich told Fox News' "America's Newsroom."

"You have a president who spends time every day trying to make sure he wins but deep down I think President Trump is pretty confident that when it's over he will be re-elected. It makes Parscale the right manager. They are a good team."

Tuesday, the campaign said it has raised $105 million in the second fundraising quarter, which Parscale called "a testament to the overwhelming support" for the president, and that Democrats running for their nomination can't match his fundraising prowess or the level of enthusiasm his supporters have for him.

Further, people are looking at Democrats who are "so far to the left" that they're leaving Americans behind, said Gingrich.

"I think all of this is coming together in a way that's a little reminiscent of 1972 and 1984 when the two Republican incumbents won massive re-election," said Gingrich.

If the economy stays good and Trump stays focused, he'll win, the former speaker added, but he may have a "marginally harder time" against either Joe Biden or Sen. Kamala Harris.

"She is probably the most dangerous of the Democrats, but I also think that a left-wing politician from California is a pretty long way from the center of the American political system," said Gingrich.
