Jon Gruden, former NFL coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, resigned after emails came out of him using offensive language. One such email includes Gruden calling President Joe Biden a "nervous clueless p*ssy."

Gruden issued a statement on Monday on behalf of the team announcing his resignation. "I have resigned as Head Coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. I love the Raiders and do not want to be a distraction. Thank you to all the players, coaches, staff, and fans of Raider Nation. I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt anyone," Gruden said on the Raiders' Twitter.

Gruden's resignation comes after emails of his surfaced during a separate investigation, according to The New York Times. Gruden, who sent messages to former Washington general manager Bruce Allen and others while working for ESPN, had reportedly used crude language in email exchanges where he called the NFL's commissioner Roger Goodell a "fagg*t" and a "clueless anti football p*ssy," Biden a "nervous clueless pussy," and alluded to Michael Sam, the first openly gay NFL player, as a "queer."

According to Breitbart, in another exchange, Gruden had reportedly said that NFL Players Association President DeMaurice Smith, a Black man, has lips the size of "Michelin tires."

When pressed, Gruden said he always refers to people who he believes are lying as having "rubber lips."
