Attorneys for a woman accused of leaking a classified document to the media said new evidence and jail food are reasons to release her pending her trial.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Reality Leigh Winner's lawyers argued in court documents that prosecutors gave wrong information regarding phone calls Winner made from jail when she was first arrested in June. And because of her vegan diet, she is having a difficult time adjusting to eating food behind bars.

Winner is being held in the Lincoln County Jail in Lincolnton, Georgia. Prosecutors said in June she leaked a classified NSA document that detailed Russia's actions toward the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

At the time, prosecutors claimed Winner was heard on a jail phone call talking about "documents" and transferring money out of her bank account to her mother's account. The record has since been corrected, with prosecutors now saying Winner was referring to just one document, presumably the one she is accused of leaking to The Intercept. And she reportedly wanted her money transferred to her mother out of fears that authorities would freeze her account.

"Ms. Winner's continued detention is manifestly unjust, contrary to law, and not in accordance with the presumption of liberty," reads a court filing, according to the Journal-Constitution.

The 25-year-old Winner, a former Air Force linguist who is fluent in English, Dari, and Pashto, pled not guilty in June for her alleged leak. Her lawyers will argue with prosecutors Friday to have her released as she waits for her trial.
