The survey also found 42 percent have an unfavorable opinion of Obamacare, formally known as the Affordable Care Act.

Here are highlights from the survey released Thursday:

  • 22 percent say the cost of healthcare is the top healthcare related issue voters want to hear candidates discuss as the midterm elections approach.
  • 74 percent have a favorable view of Medicaid, compared to 21 percent who do not.
  • 52 percent say Medicaid is working well for most low-income people, compared to 32 percent who disagree.
  • 66 percent say Medicaid should be available to low-income people for as long as they qualify, while 33 percent should it should be available for a limited amount of time.

The poll, conducted Feb. 15-20, surveyed 1,193 adults. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
