Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., released a statement Sunday slamming CIA Director John Brennan for media leaks over Russian hacking, saying both should be fully investigated.

"That probe should include a full investigation of the conduct of John Brennan and others in the CIA who are leaking allegations to left wing, biased media outlets such as the New York Times about supposed evidence that the Russians were favoring Donald Trump," King wrote. "Brennan arrogantly refuses to present any evidence or information to Congress to back up such a serious charge."

Earlier on Sunday as a guest on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday, King accused Brennan of orchestrating a "hit job" on Trump, something he reiterated in his statement.

"This appears to be an organized hit job vs. the President-elect of the United States," King wrote. "Shameful!"

King also debunked claims the Russians were hacking the Democratic National Committee in an attempt to aid Republican nominee's Donald Trump's presidential candidacy,  calling it a "lie," "absolutely disgraceful," and "could well be criminal."

"There is no CIA report, there is no CIA conclusion," King told host John Catsimatidis on "The Cats Roundtable" on Sunday. "This is somebody in the CIA, or somebody in the intelligence community, or someone in the House or the Senate who’s taken some piece of information and are saying this.

"This is a lie."

King did admit the Russians hacked the DNC and tried, unsuccessfully, to hack the Republican National Committee, but the purpose was to deter the American public during the process because it wanted them "to not have faith in whomever won the election."

The FBI has drawn no conclusions on whom the hack was trying to favor, King said.

"I mean to have your own intelligence agency working against the man who was elected president of the United States is a disgrace," he added.

The Democrats have been hacked and now are falling for the true Russian hack intentions: "creating confusion" and "doubt." And, President-elect Trump is "annoyed" people are trying to discredit the legitimacy of our election with the Democrats determined to "fight him every inch of the way, but he'll be ready for that fight," King told Catsimatidis.

This "dangerous threat to democracy" has Trump "building his resolve," King added.

"To be leaking stuff out that has no basis is absolutely disgraceful," King said of the reports that are not backed by congressional or official intelligence reports, which have not been released until they are completed. "It could well be criminal."
