Videos showing Planned Parenthood officials talking about the sale of aborted fetal specimens are "sickening" and point to the need to talk about more than only defunding the organization, Mike Huckabee said Wednesday.

"It's time for this country to decide whether or not we believe that the willful destruction of a human body, a human life and talking about the selling of parts of a baby as if we were trading parts for a Buick at an auto parts store, whether it's time to decide that's not civilized behavior," the former Arkansas governor and current GOP presidential candidate told Fox News' "America's Newsroom."

In the latest undercover sting video, Mary Gatter, medical director of Planned Parenthood in Los Angeles, is seen allegedly negotiating the sale price of aborted fetal specimens, as well as discussing the altering of abortion techniques to get intact specimens — an illegal practice.

Huckabee said Wednesday that the issues behind Planned Parenthood call into question the whole "nightmare of abortion" that has taken "60 million unborn babies since 1973."

"This is not about women's health," the former governor told the program. "This is about making money off the destruction of human babies."

"And while people can 'pretend this is a blob of protoplasm,' a fetus is much more," said Huckabee.

"The science of DNA has given us clear indications that the DNA is created at the very moment of conception, the DNA that will exist in that human imprint for the rest of that person's life if they live to be 105," said Huckabee. "Let's quit kidding ourselves by saying it's not a human life."

And by Gatter "talking about the body parts not going 'crunchy' and the callousness in which she talks about it shows her conscience has not been seared," said Huckabee.

"America's nightmare of abortion needs to end. It's not enough to say let's not have so many. That nonsense we used to say about making safe and rare it's neither safe nor rare and it needs to stop."

Huckabee continued that it is good that the issue of abortion is once again being discussed, as he knows "a lot of Republican primary donors, they don't want to talk about it. I say, no, let's talk about it in the same way we once had to deal with slavery in this country and we decided one person cannot own another person. It's immoral. For one person to take a life of another innocent person, can we not conclude that that, too be is immoral?"
