President-elect Donald Trump managed to leave Trump Tower and have a meal in a New York restaurant with his family, Politico reported.
Trump was seen at the 21 Club and the block was shut down, allowing only a small group of reporters to stand outside.
Trump spokesperson Hope Hicks said she "wasn't aware of this movement," and would not do anything to "leave the press in the dark."
She said as soon as a pool of reporters has been set up, the press will have "all of the access that they have ever had under any president."
