Hillary Clinton says it was a "dumb" decision to use her personal email server during her time at the State Department.
In her new book released Tuesday, "What Happened," she also decries how much attention the matter got during her failed 2016 White House run, the Los Angeles Times reported.
"It was a dumb mistake," the former Democratic presidential nominee wrote. ". . . It was like quicksand: the more you struggle, the deeper you sink," the L.A. Times reported.
She also wrote her "dumb" decision" got more coverage than any other issue in the whole race."
"In fact, if you had turned on a network newscast in 2016, you were three times more likely to hear about those emails than about all the real issues combined," she wrote, per the L.A. Times.
