Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., called comments about Michael Cohen by Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., “embarrassing,” the Tampa Bay Times is reporting.
And Scott added: “We shouldn’t be doing that stuff up here, you might not like what somebody is going to say but you shouldn’t be trying to intimidate them or their family, it’s wrong. I think it’s disgusting and I’m glad he apologized.
Gaetz had tweeted before Cohen publicly testified before a House committee: "Hey @MichaelCohen212 - Do your wife & father-in-law know about your girlfriends? Maybe tonight would be a good time for that chat. I wonder if she'll remain faithful when you're in prison. She's about to learn a lot…”
He later deleted the tweet and issued an apology
