Roger Stone Won't Testify for Congress Unless It's Public, Says Congressman 'Full of Schiff'

Political consultant Roger Stone said in a new speech he will not testify in front of any committees on Capitol Hill that are investigating Russian collusion unless the hearings are open to the public.

"Just for the record, I informed — through my attorneys — both of those [House and Senate Judiciary] committees that I will not be turning over three tractor trailer loads of documents for them to root for, and I will not testify unless I am allowed to testify in public so the American people can hear every word," Stone said during a speech at the American Priority conference in Washington, D.C.

Stone has come under the microscope of special counsel Robert Mueller as part of the Russia probe that's looking into claims that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to defeat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. Stone was a Trump campaign adviser and has been alleged to have had a relationship with WikiLeaks, which released damaging information about Clinton during the campaign.

Stone insists no such relationship existed.

Recent reports suggested that Stone could be indicted by Mueller's team. Stone said he has no intention of pleading guilty to anything.

"No matter what happens, I will not bear false witness against this president. I will not make up stories and lies in the effort to remove him," he said.

Stone also addressed remarks made by Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif. The ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff said emails and other records that Stone released to make his case do not align with the testimony Stone gave in front of Schiff's panel in 2017.

Stone said that's nonsense, and he directed Schiff to make any evidence of wrongdoing public — if he has it.

"If Mr. Schiff has any proof whatsoever that I had advance notice of the source or the content of the allegedly hacked or stolen emails published by WikiLeaks or that I received anything of the kind, I challenge him to produce it now or shut up," Stone said.

"The congressman is completely full of Schiff."
