A major campaign contributor to House Appropriations Committee chairman Rep. Hal Rogers could win the contract to print green cards for millions of illegal immigrants under a planned amnesty program President Barack Obama plans to issue as an executive order,

General Dynamics is on the list of "interested vendors" for a
draft solicitation reported on in October by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
The company's Corbin, Kentucky, facility, which is in Rogers' district, already prints green cards, work permits and IDs for the government. The draft solicitation calls for a surge of up to 34 million green cards over the next five years.
General Dynamics Information Technology’s director for Homeland Security Programs Chris Jensen admitted to Breitbart News that the company is trying to get the contract, but declined to give details. He did say, however, that if the government awards the contract to his company the cards would likely be printed at the Corbin plant.
General Dynamics is a major contributor not only to Rogers, Breitbart notes, but also almost every member of the House and Senate appropriations committees.
Jensen said he could not comment on any communications the company might have had with Rogers concerning the contract, and Rogers' office did not respond to requests for comment, Brietbart reported.
Most Republicans have said they plan to fight Obama's planned executive amnesty by refusing to fund it, thus keeping illegal immigrants from getting the documentation they would need to obtain jobs legally.
Rogers has disagreed with that strategy, pushing for funding of everything in the president's plan through September. If the funding fails to be included in the budget General Dynamics would miss out on the contract even if it wins it – and jobs in Rogers' own district would be affected.
"Now this immigration document printing facility by a campaign contributor inside his congressional district seems to be a potential reason why Rogers has resisted what Republican leaders like even (Republican National Committee Chairman Reince) Priebus have promised to do: Stop Obama’s executive amnesty at all costs, and use the power of the purse to block it," Breitbart's Matthew Boyle wrote.
Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton told Breitbart that the deal smells of "crony capitalism."
"There is a special interest for everything in Washington, even for lawbreaking," Fitton told the website. "I suspect the vendors on the list will pretend the contract has nothing to do with lawless amnesty. It may help the CEO's get to sleep at night, but it won't fool the American people."
