A new film about Ronald Reagan's life in the 1950s and 1960s will feature never-before-seen movie footage shot by the future president himself.
Variety reports that Reagan's daughter, Patti Davis, is co-producing the documentary project which will feature Super 8 film her father shot before his switch from acting to politics.
"The private footage is in pristine condition and offers a never-before-seen look at Reagan's family on vacations, ranch visits, backyard plays, birthday parties, visits to the beach and pool time that dominated the family's Southern-California outdoor lifestyle," Variety's Dave McNary writes.
The producers told Variety: "This is an honest, loving and truly behind-the-scenes invitation into the Reagans' lifestyle in a simpler time prior to their being cloistered by Secret Service and White House gates."
