Hillary Clinton threw some shade Tuesday at President Donald Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani after he chastised media outlets of concentrating their efforts on him rather than Democratic candidate Joe Biden or members of her family.
"WP, NBC, and CNN are going after me because I'm the messenger, and covering up the message, Dem corruption," he tweeted Tuesday, with the first initials likely a reference to The Washington Post. "Meanwhile, they have yet to ask Biden difficult questions because he is protected and immune like the Clintons and crooked Clinton Foundation!"
A little over an hour later, Clinton reposted Giuliani's tweet, and added a comment: "Yes, I am famously under-scrutinized."
Shortly after, her daughter Chelsea responded to her mother's tweet, posting a short clip showing her mother brushing off her shoulder during her 11-hour marathon testimony before the Senate in 2015 about Benghazi.
In recent days, Giuliani has been facing scrutiny on allegations he has been trying to push officials in Ukraine to investigate Biden or his son, Hunter, in order to help the president's 2020 re-election bid. Monday, the chairs of three House committees subpoenaed documents from him related to the matter.
Giuliani is also mentioned in the whistleblower complaint that accuses Trump of pushing Ukraine's president, through freezing military aid, to look into the Bidens' activities in his country. The document says two State Department officials had spoken with Giuliani to "contain the damage" to national security caused by his alleged actions.
Meanwhile, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Tuesday said nobody had told him the reason why millions of dollars in aid was delayed to his country, and shrugging off suggestions that Trump froze the funding to pressure Ukraine to investigate Biden.
